FIRST OF ALL, SERVANTS OF ALL, WE SHALL TRANSCEND ALL

HOUSE OF ALPHA IN FORT WORTH, TX
WELCOME FROM PRESIDENT

As stated above, our motto, “First of all, servants of all, we shall transcend all”, still rings true. On behalf of the brothers of the Beta Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., I would like to extend a warm welcome to the virtual home of “Fort Worth’s Favorite Frat”. As you to begin to explore our website, it is our desire that you find this portal to be informative and easy to navigate. There are also a few themes that we hope will resonate during your visit. First and foremost, we strive to uphold the aims of our Fraternity: Manly Deeds, Scholarship and Love for All Mankind. Secondly, we endeavor to be an impactful organization that develops future leaders and advocates for our community. And finally, we believe that our success is linked directly to the strength of the brotherhood abiding within this House. Since our chartering on December 4, 1940, the Beta Tau Lambda Chapter has made and continues to make great strides in the Greater Fort Worth area and Tarrant County as a whole. The Chapter actively supports our Fraternity’s national programs such as:

  • Project Alpha®

  • A Voteless People is a Hopeless People®

  • Go-to-High School, Go-to-College®

  • My Brother’s Keeper®

The Beta Tau Lambda Chapter also sponsors a number of local programs under our Alpha Academy banner including:

  • Alpha Academy Mentoring Program (for 5th through 12th grade males)

  • Alpha Academy Beautillion Scholarship Gala

  • Alpha Academy Summer Computer Camp

If we can be of service, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Again, thank you for visiting our website.

VOTER REGISTRATION

A Voteless People is a Hopeless People®

"A Voteless People is a Hopeless People" (aka VPHP) was initiated as a National Program of Alpha during the 1930's when many African-Americans had the right to vote but were prevented from voting because of poll taxes, threats of reprisal, and lack of education about the voting process. Voter education and registration have remained a dominant focus of this outreach activity for over 65 years. In the 1990's, the focus has shifted to include political awareness and empowerment, delivered most frequently through town meetings and candidate forums.
